Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Analytics
Video Management Software for Security Professionals
Focus of Attention
ACC 7 introduces a new concept in live video monitoring, Focus of Attention, which leverages AI and video analytics technologies to determine what information is important and should be presented to security operators.
A Smarter Way to Monitor Video
We believe powerful software doesn’t have to be complicated. That’s why Avigilon Control Center (ACC) video management software gives you control over your workstation with a simplified screen layout, intuitive controls, and customizable features that improve multi-person interactions. ACC™ 7 offers both light and dark themes, with colors specifically chosen to reduce eye strain in dark environments, such as video surveillance control rooms.
Powered by AI for Fast and Efficient Search
ACC™ leverages advanced artificial intelligence and video analytics, including Appearance Search™ technology and Unusual Motion Detection technology, to help you quickly detect, verify and act on events.
The bookmark, event, alarm and thumbnail search options in ACC are designed to enhance the way you interact with your systems, dramatically improve event response times and help make video actionable.
Avigilon Appearance Search™ video analytics technology is a sophisticated deep learning artificial intelligence (AI) search engine for video. It sorts through hours of video with ease, to quickly locate a specific person or vehicle of interest across an entire site, or multiple sites that are connected to the same Avigilon Control Center (ACC) Client software.
Search Using Physical Descriptions
While investigating critical events, time is of the essence, and security operators are often provided physical descriptions of the people involved. Operators can initiate a search for a person by selecting certain specific physical descriptions, including clothing color and gender, to find a person of interest.
Face Analytics Included in Search
Avigilon Appearance Search technology also incorporates the characteristics of a person’s face, enabling the technology to search for the same person, even if items such as their clothing change over time.
Reveal Events You May Have Missed
Avigilon Unusual Motion Detection (UMD) technology is an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology that brings a new level of automation to surveillance, by revealing events that may have otherwise been missed.
Without any predefined rules or setup, UMD technology is able to continuously learn what typical activity in a scene looks like, and then detect and flag unusual motion.

Gain Valuable Insights from Your Video Data
Today, most recorded video is never viewed, meaning critical events may go undetected. UMD technology allows operators to search through large amounts of recorded video faster by automatically focusing their attention on the atypical events that may need further investigation, helping to reduce hours of work to minutes. Through AI, UMD helps users extract valuable insights from their video data, to quickly find, verify and take action on unexpected events.
Data Protection and Privacy
As the number of IP-connected devices in physical security systems increases, conversations about information security and privacy are a natural part of the sales process
ACC Integration with ACM System
We’ve combined our video surveillance, Access Control Manager (ACM) system and AI technologies, to provide you with a powerful and unified security solution to help you proactively monitor and secure your facility.
Through this integration, our Identity Search features allows operators to quickly search for a person of interest using their ACM cardholder information. Operators can then use Avigilon Appearance Search™ technology to locate that person’s current or previous location in the facility.
License Plate Recognition (LPR) analytics
LPR analytics automatically reads license plate information from vehicles, linking it to live and recorded video. This enables security operators to search and quickly find specific captured license plate video for verification and investigation.
Regional Support
Our new LPR analytics, now available in ACC 7 and ACC 6, captures, recognizes, and searches license plates with high accuracy. It is easy to configure and use, with broad regional and country support including North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and the United Kingdom.
Watch Lists
Create and import several licence plate watch lists so that ACC software can provide you with security alerts, helping you take decisive action when needed.
Data Privacy
The data privacy protection features of ACC software enable you to restrict access and set automatic retention time and deletion rules for LPR data.
License Plate Capture Cameras
Capture high quality images of license plates day and night with Avigilon cameras including the H4 LPC camera and H4A Bullet camera.
