Implementing a Smart Detection System in the K-12 Space
To address vaping and air quality concerns, St. Joseph School District partnered with ADS to install HALO Smart Sensors across all facilities. On day one, the system detected 40 vaping incidents, giving staff real-time insights to create a safer, healthier environment.
The Challenge
Staff and administrators at St. Joseph School District had noticed an increase in vaping amongst their students, and had also recently uncovered a mold issue in one of their buildings.
The Solution
ADS designed and installed a network of HALO Smart Sensors throughout all the facilities in the school district.
The Result
The HALO Smart Sensors are able to detect gunshots, aggressive behavior, smoke, carbon monoxide, vape, cigarette smoke, THC, and other harmful chemicals/threats in the buildings so that administrators can be proactive in keeping their facilities as safe and healthy as possible.
The first day these sensors were activated in the high school, the sensors detected 40 vaping incidents!
